Design and Looks
The LG KP320 has a candy bar form factor which is slim and has leather like feel to its entire body. The phone weighs in at 82g and stands at 105x46x13.5mm making it easily to be gripped in the palm and also fits in well in almost all pocket size.
The screen on the phone is small according to its category and measures up to 2.0 inches. The screen has the capacity of 240x320 pixels output and is able to display 256K colours.
The phone comes along with a alphanumeric keypad with the keys equally spaced among each other. The keys are harder but seem to give a good typing feel even over a long text message.
The LG KP320 is a tri-band phone and comes equipped with a 90MB of internal memory. There is also the expansion slot available which includes the microSD storage format. The expansion slot can accompany a card up to 4GB easily.
The D-pad is nice circular and comfortable to use with the 4 buttons placed besides it. The top row is occupied by the “ok” and the “cancel” button whereas the bottom row houses the Call and End call button.
The communication on the LG KP320 is average for its kind and sports features like GPRS , EDGE , Bluetooth and the USB.
The camera on the phone is a 3.15 mega pixel but fails to produce any good images considering most 3.15 MP cameras. The camera also has auto focus feature but the images lack the detail.
There is an average MP3 player , Bluetooth , FM Radio with scheduled recording and TV out too. One of the striking feature of this handset is its audio quality which is crisp and clear and moreover loud enough . There are headphones bundled along with the device too that are equally good responsive as the speakers and are clear and loud.
Overall the phone is targetted at the entry level segment with other manufacturers having the SE 750i or the Nokia E72.
The disappointment has been the camera on this phone , compared to some of the other models listed above which feature a lesser mega pixel count but are able to reproduce far better quality image than the LG K320.
