Design and Looks
The LG KP220 Dynamite is one of the best looking phones we have come across. It is simple with a two tone colour scheme; black and silver. Black bezel is seen around the screen and the sides and the back are also black. The controls on the front are overlaid on a brushed metallic plate. The plate has a dedicated mp3 launch button that sticks out into the bezel portion of the phone. The brush-metallic nav-pad does not feature a confirming centre but has the music player icons overlaid on them. The keys are part of the metallic plate and are completely flat. They are hard to use and texting is definitely out of the question. But if you don't do more than make calls with this phone, it should be fine.
The phone's screen is a disappointing 1.77-inch display. If you've read some of our other reviews of LG phones, you'll notice that this screen has been used a lot on their other models. We wouldn't mind this except that this screen is the most basic colour display available and its quality just sucks. The phone's USP is the multi-media features set and this includes a 1.3MP camera, an mp3 player and FM radio with the usual broadcast recording that we see on other LG Dynamite phones too. The phone's camera application innumerable imaging options such as white balance, brightness adjustment, multi-shot, digital zoom, self timer and colour effects. The camera is also capable of taking videos in QCIF resolution.
This phone review says it all-the KP220 Dynamite is nothing new in terms of features but it sure has an eye catching design.
