Design and Looks
Apart from the active flip the phone is all candy bar form factor. The active flip is made of strong and good plastic material. The active flip on this phone also gives the functionality to answer the call and disconnect them.
With the flip opened the phone supports a standard keypad. The material on the keyboard is made of hard rubber making it difficult to type long messages or text for a long time.
The screen on the phone is 2 inches wide with resolution of 320x240 pixel ( QVGA).The image quality is sharp and clear and is good to look at.
On the multimedia front the phone supports a decent music player and is able to show tag of the songs and art album. The playlist can be sorted according to artist, album and genre. The music button is activated by pushing the media button on the surface of the flip. The player can also be invoked by one of the buttons on the right side of the body. The sound from the speaker is loud enough and does okay for casual listening.
The camera on the LG KM380T sports a 1.3 MP camera onboard. The maximum resolution of the images taken by the camera stand at 1280x960. There is no dedicated key available on the phone for clicking picture , instead one has to use the center D-pad button as the shutter. The phone does not support a flash and thus rules out any good photographs in low-light conditions. The video on this handset is recorded in 3gp format.
The phone comes along with FM radio but does not include the popular RDS technology. There are standard games on board and the phone also features the Anti theft Mobile Tracker.
The phone is able to give a decent backup with its ion lithium battery. For one full charge the phone is able to do 2-3 days with normal use. With the use of camera and the music player the phone will come down quickly.
Overall a nice innovative idea to sport the music buttons on the flip mechanism. The phone does not sport anything extraordinary but a good buy for the LG flip fans.
